How do I create a Remind account using the Android app?

For all new Remind Chat users.

Follow the instructions below to create a free Remind chat account on your Android device.

Your organization's administrator may have created an account for you - click here if you're a Remind Hub parent, here if you're a Remind Hub student, or here if you're a Remind Hub teacher to learn how to access your rostered account.

Administrator

Reach out to our Support team if you're interested in obtaining Remind Hub and admin access to your organization.
  1. Download the Remind app.
  2. Enter your phone number or email address → Tap Next.                             
  3. Enter the four-digit verification code we sent to your device or email.             
  4. Create a password for your account → Tap Next.

  6. Select I'm an administrator → Enter your name → Tap Next.
  7. Choose I work for a school or I work for a district → Tap Next.
  8. Search for your school or district → Select your administrative role → Tap Next → Tap Yes to confirm that your email address is your correct school email. 
  9. Tap Get started → Scroll down and tap Set your office hours → Tap Save.
  10. Tap Skip if you're not ready to set office hours or notifications yet, and access your new class.
  11. Teacher

  1. Download the Remind app.
  2. Enter your phone number or email address → Tap Next.                             
    • If you sign up using your cell phone number, you'll be prompted later to add your email address to your account.
  3. Enter the four-digit verification code we sent to your device or email.             
  4. Create a password for your account → Tap Next.

  6. Select I'm a teacher → Enter your name → Tap Next.
  7.   8. If your administrator has class approvals turned on, you'll see a Request approval screen. Enter a reason for your class → Tap Send.   9. Tap Get started → Tap Set your office hours → Tap Save → Start sending messages.

Parent

  1. Download the Remind app.
  2. Enter your phone number or email address → Tap Next.                             
  3. Enter the four-digit verification code we sent to your device or email.             
  4. Create a password for your account → Tap Next.

  6. Select I'm a parent → Enter your name → Tap Next.
  7. Enter your child's teacher's class code or search for their teacher's class → Tap Join.
    • You also have the option to create a class and connect it to your child's school. 
      • If your child's school administrator has class approvals turned on, you'll see a Request approval screen. Enter a reason for your class → Tap Send.   8. Tap Get started → Tap Set notifications → Tap Invite and Message to start reaching your child's teacher immediately.

Student

  1. Download the Remind app.
  2. Enter your phone number or email address → Tap Next.                             
  3. Enter the four-digit verification code we sent to your device or email.             
  4. Create a password for your account → Tap Next.

  6. Select I'm a student → Enter your name → Tap Next. 
  7. Add your birthdate → Tap Next → Enter your parent's information if you're under 13 → Enter your teacher's class code → Tap Join (or search for their class).     • If you're a student that is 13 or older, you'll also see the option to create a class.
      • If your school administrator has class approvals turned on, you'll see a Request approval screen. Enter a reason for your class → Tap Send.   8. Search for your school or district → Select your administrative role → Tap Next → Tap Yes to confirm that your email address is your correct school email.

    • You also have the option to create a class and connect it to your child's school.
