For all Remind users. Will be effective on 12/22/2021.
You may have tried to send a message to another Remind user and received the reply, "Messages can't be delivered to this number." Or, perhaps you tried to call someone via their Remind phone number, and you heard the automated message, "the call cannot be completed as dialed." To comply with new mobile carrier requirements, we've recently assigned a new Remind contact phone number to some of our SMS users. The delivery error message or automated telephone recording means that the individual you tried to contact is one of these users, and no longer has the Remind phone number you have saved for them in your phone.
In order to reach them, we recommend you log in to your Remind account via our app or online to send them a message or call them. When the message recipient replies to your message, you'll receive it in a different conversation thread on your phone. Or, when you call them, their new phone number will automatically appear on your phone. You should save their new Remind number to your phone's contact list so you can continue communicating with them via the new message thread or call them again in the future.
