Make others a class owner

There are two ways you can add a co-owner to a class. You can add them through the Settings or the People dashboard of your class.

Once you've made a person an owner of a class, you cannot remove their ownership. They have to remove themselves via their Remind account. However, you can remove your ownership of a class at any time.

We'll send the new class owner an email or an SMS about the change depending on their notification preferences.

From the Settings pageadd_a_class_owner.gif

  1. Select the Class under the Classes owned section of your left navigation menu.
  2. On the top banner, click Settings.
  3. Scroll down to the Class owners section.
  4. Click Add class owner.
    • A pop-up box will appear with a list of individuals who are eligible to become co-owner of the class.
    • Note: Class owners must be 13 years or older and have a Remind account.
  5. Click the check box next to the name of the individual(s) you want to add as a class owner.
    • If you do not see an individual listed, you need to add them as a participant in the class first.
  6. Click the Add button at the bottom.
  7. Click Add again to confirm your action.
