For all Remind users.
When you send an announcement, individual, or group message, the links and URLS you include in your message will count towards the character limit.
Links that start with https:// or http:// count for 23 characters towards the message limit regardless of link length. If you add a link without https:// or http://, the entire length of the link will count towards the message limit.

Remind Hub community members can see a preview of how SMS users will receive an announcement or a chat message before they send it by clicking the eye icon . When you send a text message that exceeds 600 characters, it will include a link that allows the recipient to view the entire message. Some SMS carriers may show only the first 140 characters with a link recipients can open to see the whole message. The link will expire after 30 days.
When you've reached the character limit for your message, you'll see a red number indicating how many characters you've gone over.
For longer announcements, we highly recommend sending a voice clip or attaching a PDF, photo, or poster to your message to share more information with your community as you can't send an announcement that is over the character limit. You can also send multiple announcements to your classes.
If your school or district administrator is interested in accessing higher character limits for your organization with Remind Hub, they can learn more about it here.
