You have the ability to bulk archive or remove any classes that are connected to your organization. We highly recommend reviewing your Classes list periodically throughout the school year, and archiving or removing classes that your teachers are no longer actively using.
When you archive a class, the class participants and messages will also be archived. Class owners can view their archived classes via Account settings → Archived classes at any time. They can choose to create a new class and reuse the same class code for another group of participants. Or, they can unarchive a class if they want to make it active again. If you have teacher approval on for your organization, an administrator from your school will have to review and approve classes that are unarchived by an unapproved teacher.
Remind will automatically archive a class if a class owner has not sent an announcement, or if people have not joined the class within nine months (270 days).
When you remove a class, the class will be unlinked from your organization and you'll be removing all of the participants in that class from your organization unless the participants are members of your organization, or they are in another class connected to your organization. The removed class will remain active on the class owner's account.

Archive classes
- Log in to your Remind account on the web.
- Select a School from the left navigation menu.
- Click the Classes tab.
- Optional: Click the dropdown menu to filter your Classes list by SIS or non-SIS classes, and/or by class owner role. Note - You cannot archive unclaimed classes.
- Hover your cursor over the icon of a class you want to archive.
- Click the box that appears, and then select the class(es) you want to archive.
- Click Archive on the right panel.
- Choose Archive classes to confirm the action.
The class owner(s) will receive an email notification that you archived their class(es).
Remove classes
- Log in to your Remind account on the web.
- Select a School from the left navigation menu.
- Click the Classes tab.
- Optional: Click the dropdown menu to filter your Classes list by SIS or non-SIS classes, and/or by class owner role. You cannot remove unclaimed classes.
- Hover your cursor over the icon of a class you want to remove.
- Click the box that appears, and then select the class(es) you want to remove.
- Click Remove from school on the right panel.
- Choose Remove classes to confirm the action.
The class owner(s) will receive an email notification that you removed their class(es) from your organization.
