For Remind teachers and administrators.
You can keep track of who's who on your People list by adding a private note for participants in your class. You can use a private note to display details such as family relationships, team names, roles, reminders, etc. If you share a class with another teacher or administrator, that co-owner cannot see your private notes. Only you can see the private note you add to a person's profile.
While parents and students aged 13+ can be class owners, they cannot write private notes.

Web
- Log in to your account.
- Select a class under the Classes owned section on your left side navigation bar.
- Click the People tab on your class dashboard.
- Click on a participant's name to open their profile.
- Click on the three horizontal dots.
- Select Add private note.
- Type the private note in the box and click X. You'll see a green notification that the note has been updated.
The private note will now appear under the participant's name in the Name column. If you need to edit the note in the future, follow steps 1-4 and then click on the note itself to make changes.
iOS
- Open the Remind app.
- Select a class under the Classes owned section on your left side navigation bar.
- Tap the People tab.
- Tap on a participant's name and select View profile.
- Tap the three vertical dots in the top right corner.
- Select Add private note.
- Type the private note in the box and tap Save.
The private note will now appear under the participant's name. If you need to edit the note in the future, follow steps 1-4 and then tap on the note itself to make changes.
Android
- Open the Remind app.
- Select a class under the Classes owned section on your left side navigation bar.
- Tap the People tab.
- Tap the three vertical dots located to the right of a participant's name.
- Select View profile.
- Tap the three vertical dots in the top right corner.
- Select Add private note.
- Type the private note in the box and tap Save.
The private note will now appear under the participant's name. If you need to edit the note in the future, follow steps 1-4 and then tap on the note itself to make changes.
