Create a communication policy

  • Create a communication policy to set expectations about how often, when, and what type of Remind messages should be sent.
    • Examples:
      • Send one class announcement weekly with an overview of the week's assignments.
      • Send a monthly newsletter to parents at the beginning of each month listing upcoming topics and expected outcomes.
      • Send positive messages to five students per week.
  • Track usage by downloading a full teacher activity report from your admin dashboard's Overview tab (standard dashboard) or by viewing messages sent data in the Statistics tab (Enhanced Data dashboard).

Provide training

  • Schedule training sessions for your teachers and staff during designated professional development time.
  • Utilize Remind free training resources:
    • Teacher/Staff Onboarding Guide
    • Remind Learning Center
    • Download and customize a training presentation
  • Incentivize teacher training attendance with stipends or credits.

Share use cases from your staff by capturing example teacher messages from the Overview tab or by viewing recent class announcements from the Classes tab.

  • During staff meetings share examples of effective Remind messages. Highlight positive affirmations, photo attachments, and assignment reminders.

Identify champion users and ask them to be onsite Remind Trainers (Use our training resources).

  • Encourage them to host lunch and learn sessions for their teammates.
  • Encourage them to host follow-up training sessions or "office hours."

Provide additional support for teachers with low usage and support them with Remind self-serve resources and additional training.
