How can I see my message delivery summary?

For all Remind users.

You can easily see how many people received, read, or didn’t get your announcement from the Messages tab. To view the Message summary for an announcement sent, click theinfo_i.pngicon on the header of your announcement. A pop-up box containing message deliverability data will display on your dashboard.

Message summary overview

The message summary will show you the following:

  • Sent: The number of people you sent the message to.
  • Read: The number and % of people who read your message in the Remind app after receiving it. This does not include people who receive text messages or emails. Also, individual messages cannot be read.
  • Delivered: The number and % of people who successfully received your message. This does not include people who have read or received text messages or emails. 
  • Errors: The number and % of people who experienced delivery errors. Click here to learn more about issues with message deliverability.      
    • If your announcement was sent to fewer than 250 people, you can click within a section in the message summary to see the names of the individuals who fall into each category.
    • If your announcement was sent to more than 250 people you can download a list of people with errors and a list of people with no contact information. A CSV file containing the names and error reasons will be sent to the email address associated with your Remind account.                                                                  Download_MDS_2.png   

CSV file errors:

  • Invalid: This error means this isn't a valid phone number or email address. Either the number is no longer in service or the email is incorrect. Please verify the user's contact details.
  • Expired: This error means this message missed its 6-hour delivery window because it took too long to send. This can occur when there are technical outages.
  • No Devices: This error means this user does not have a phone number or email address. Please update or verify the user's contact information.
  • Failed: This error means the message was not delivered due to a technical issue. This could be a failure with Remind's vendor partner or an issue with the user's phone number/email address. Please see Remind's status here.
  • Undelivered: This error means this message was likely caught in a spam filter.
  • Unsupported: This error means Remind does not work with the carrier of this user's mobile device, i.e Rogers in Canada.
  • Unsubscribed: Unsubscribed means this user has replied "stop" via SMS or clicked "unsubscribe" from an email notification. Please have the user rejoin your organization to receive messages again.

How to view a message summary

Web

To view the Message summary for an Announcement:

  1. Log in to your Remind account.
  2. Select a district, school, or class from the left navigation menu.
  3. Under Announcements, click an announcement you've sent.
  4. Click the information icon info_i.pngon the announcement message summary you want to see.
    • The message summary will display in a pop-up box.
    • Click on the blue arrow icon Down_arrow.png to view the users in each status.
    • Click Download list (CSV file) to have a list of users in the errors and unreachable section emailed to you. Please note that this CSV will expire at the date shown on your message summary.                                         Screenshot_2022-11-10_at_2.59.25_PM.png
  5. Click the (X) in the top right to return to the message screen.

iOS

Troubleshooting

If you’re unable to get the message summary for an announcement, click "Try again" to regenerate the message summary. If you continue to have trouble, please contact our Support team.

Troubleshooting

If you’re unable to get the message summary for an announcement, click "Try again" to regenerate the message summary. If you continue to have trouble, please contact our Support team.
