I can't add an owner to my class

For class owners

If you’re experiencing issues when trying to add a class owner, please check that the person is already a class participant by reviewing your People list. If the individual is not a participant in your class, you must add them first before you see them as a co-owner option.

If the + Add class owner button is disabled, this means there are no parents or teachers in your class to add as a class owner.

  • The teacher or parent you're trying to give ownership to must be in the class to become a class owner.
  • We don't allow parents to be class owners if there are students under 13 in a class. If you don't see a list of potential class owners, this means that there may be under 13 students in that class.
    • Only verified staff and teachers can be class owners for classes with students under the age of 13.
    • If all students are over 13, and you don’t see a parent or teacher on the list, click Add them to make them a member of your class.Can_t_add_owner.png
