How can I open and download attachments?

For all Remind users. 

You can receive PDFs, Google Docs, pictures and other attachments via Remind. When a message has an attachment, simply click the attachment link or the photo to see it in full view.

Be sure to enable your mobile device or web browser settings to receive attachments.

Web

To open an attachment or image:

  1. Log in to your Remind account. 
  2. Click on your district, school, or class from the left navigation menu.
  3. Select the conversation or announcement containing the attachment.
    • The attachment or the image will open in a new window.
    • Select View original (on the top right) if you want to see the attachment or image in full view.
    • Choose Download (on the top right) if you want to save the attachment or image onto your computer.
  4. Click the X at the top of the image to return to the message thread.

iOS

To open an attachment or image:

  1. Open the Remind app.
  2. Tap the district, school, or class.
  3. Tap the conversation or announcement containing the attachment
  4. Click the blue link or image in the message thread. 
    • The attachment or image will open in new window so you can see it in full view.
    • Note: You may be prompted to select an application, such as Safari or Google Chrome, before you can view the attachment if you don't already have a default application set.
  5. Select the upload arrow mceclip0.png  on the bottom left to Share, Copy, or Save the attachment or the image.
  6. Swipe the attachment or image downwards to return to the message thread.

Android

To open an attachment or image: 

  1. Open the Remind app.
  2. Tap the blue link or image in the message thread.
    • The attachment or image will open in new window so you can see it in full view.
  3. Tap the three vertical dots on the top right to see the option to Save or Share the attachment or image.
  4. Press, hold, and swipe the top right of the image to return to the message thread.
    • You'll see a back arrow that enables you to minimize the image.
