How does Remind help protect the security of my account?

As part of our commitment to helping protect the online privacy, safety, and security of everyone who uses Remind, we have various checks in place to make sure that it’s really you accessing your account and to ensure that you are aware of any changes made to your contact points.

To check your ownership of the phone number or email address you are using on Remind, we will ask you to enter a verification code that we will send you. This may happen when:

  • You are creating an account for the first time

  • You are adding a new email address or cell phone number to your account

  • You are logging into your account using a phone number or email address that has not yet been confirmed

  • You are logging into your account for the first time in 90 days

  • You are logging into your account from a new device such as a new phone or a different computer

    • Note: to make sure we recognize the web browser you usually use, you will need to accept cookies

To make sure you know if any changes are made to the cell phone numbers or email addresses on your account, we will notify you when:

  • A phone number or email address is removed from your existing account

  • A phone number or email address is added to your existing account

These contact point notifications will be sent to the cell phone number or email address that was added to or removed from your account as well as to all of the other cell phone numbers or email addresses associated with the account(s) to or from which your number or email was added or removed. These notifications will be sent regardless of how they are added to or removed from your account, so it's possible you will be notified about changes made by SIS-sync. To make sure we don't bother you, we'll hold text notifications until 9 AM PT each day, and we will be sure not to send them out after 7 PM PT as well.

Note that all notifications and confirmation codes come from our no-reply@mail.remind.com email address. Please make sure that this email address is on your allowlist so you receive these important communications.
