For all Remind users. If you need to join a school, click here.

Follow the instructions below to unlink a school from your Remind account. Once you leave a school, you will no longer receive messages from it. If your account is SIS-linked, you cannot leave the organization. Contact your school administrator and ask them to remove you.

Web

1. Click on your name located in the upper left-hand corner of the dashboard.
2. Click Account settings.
3. Select Profile.
4. 
5. Scroll down to the Organizations section.
6. Hover your cursor on the school you want to unlink from your account.
7. Click the Leave button that appears, and confirm the action by clicking leave again.

Class owners note: If any of the classes you own are linked to a school you are leaving, you will be asked to disconnect from them first. Also, if your account is SIS-linked, you will not be able to leave the organization. Contact your school administrator and ask them to remove you.

Class participants note: If a class is linked to a school, joining the class will also add you to the school. Also, if you attempt to leave a school, and a message pops up that says you need to leave a class first, go to that class' Settings tab, and leave the class. Once you have left all classes associated with the school, you can go back to your Profile page and leave the school. Also, if your account is SIS-linked, you will not be able to leave the organization. Contact your school administrator and ask them to remove you.

Before leaving a school via the app, you will need to first update the school that the classes you own are linked to via the Settings tab to either Not affiliated, or to the correct school. Otherwise, you will automatically be removed from the class, and you will no longer see it on your dashboard. You can also delete the class if you no longer need it.

iOS

1. Click on the pencil next to your name at the top.
2. Scroll down to the Schools section.
3. Click the three horizontal dots next to the school you want to leave.
4. Select the Leave school option, and confirm the action by clicking Confirm.

Android

1. Click on the gear located on the top right.
2. Select Account.
3. Click the three horizontal dots next to the school you want to leave.
4. Select the Leave school option, and confirm the action by clicking Got it.
