How can I block or unblock someone?
For all Remind users.
Blocking someone should be used in cases where you can't disable replies in the conversation and need to prevent someone from contacting you directly.

How to block someone
You can block someone and still allow them to receive announcements if they are in your class. This will prevent both of you from sending individual messages to each other and disable all conversations between you and the user.
To block someone:
- Log in to Remind.com on your computer.
- Select the School or Class that the individual is in.
- Click the People tab at the top of the dashboard.
- Click on the name of the individual you would like to block.
- Click the 3 blue dots
on the right.
- Select Block user.
- Click Block.
How to unblock someone
You can only unblock someone in the same class or school as you.
To unblock someone:
- Log in to Remind.com on your computer.
- Select the School or Class that the individual is in.
- Click the People tab at the top of the dashboard.
- Click on the Name of the individual you would like to unblock.
- Click the 3 blue dots
- Select Unblock user.
Report a user
You can use this option to report misuse to Remind when someone is in violation of our Community Guidelines. When a user has been reported by someone, a message will be sent to a Remind representative who will then investigate the claim and take appropriate actions.
To report a user:
- Log in to Remind.com on your computer.
- Select the School or Class that the individual is in.
- Click the People tab at the top of the dashboard.
- Click on the Name of the individual you would like to report.
- Click the 3 blue dots
- Select Report to Remind.
- Mark the reason as to why you are reporting this individual. You can also add additional notes, if you want
- Click Report.
FAQs
Q: Are people notified when they are blocked?
A: No, they aren't.
Q: Do people who are blocked still receive messages?
A: Yes, they do. Blocking only prevents them from sending messages to you.
Q: Can blocked people still join one of my classes?
A: Yes, they can.
Q: What does it look like from the blocked person's perspective?
A: The blocked person cannot message the person who blocked them.
