How to reschedule a tutoring session

Students and parents can reschedule a tutoring session at any time by reaching out to Remind Support directly.


Remind recommends rescheduling at least two days prior to the scheduled session as this allows students and parents to reschedule directly within the Remind application following the steps outlined below.

 

Sessions that are rescheduled or canceled with less than 24 hours lead time from the scheduled session start time will result in a charge for the full session.

 

If you need to reschedule a session or a tutoring plan to begin sessions off the hour (ex. 2:30pm ET instead of 2pm ET), you must reach out to Remind Support to have this change completed.

 

Schools, Districts, and Educational organizations that subsidize Remind Tutoring sessions may have separate policies involving reschedules or cancellations. If a student is receiving Tutoring sessions through their school, district, or educational program, Remind encourages them to reach out to your organization for rescheduling policies.

 

How to Reschedule a session within a tutor's availability

  • Sign in to your Remind account
  • Select the session you would like to reschedule
  • Click on the pencil - located to the right of your scheduled session

  • Select Reschedule
  • Choose the day and time you need for your next session. If the session time has a purple dot, this timeslot is within your current tutor's availability and will be instantly scheduled.

  • Select Update Session

You will receive a confirmation email with the selected time and will see the selected time slot in your upcoming tutoring schedule.

 

How to Reschedule a session if your tutor does not have availability

  • Sign in to your Remind account
  • Select the session you would like to reschedule
  • Click on the pencil - located to the right of your scheduled session

  • Select Reschedule
  • Choose the day and time you need for your next session. If the session time does not have a purple dot, this time slot is outside of your current tutor's availability

  • If you don’t see any scheduled times with your tutor for an instant book that works for you, choose 3 available slots that work for you and select “Review Request”

  • Upon selecting the review request, you have the option to be matched with another tutor for a single session in the event your tutor is unable to attend that the proposed time*

  • Click Send Request
  • Once you submit your request, you see a notice that your new session is pending your tutor's approval in your dashboard

  • If your tutor approves the request, you will see the new time on your schedule
  • If your tutor does not approve the request, they are unavailable at that time. If you selected the option to be matched with a different tutor, you will see the new tutor on your schedule for the session at the selected time

*Note: This option is only available for sessions being scheduled 48 hours or more in advance and is not available for students receiving sessions through a School, District, or Educational Program.
