How do I edit, delete, or generate new SFTP credentials for my auto message?

For administrators with advanced messaging, a premium feature available with Remind Hub. On the web only. Please contact your Remind account manager or Remind support to learn more.

You can manage your auto message SFTP credentials from your organization's settings on your Remind auto message dashboard. Here you can generate new SFTP credentials, edit the names of existing credentials, or delete previously created credentials in the SFTP credentials section.

Edit auto message SFTP credentials

  1. Log in to Remind.                                                Login_to_Remind.png
  2. Click Settings on your dashboard. Click_Settings.png
  3. Choose Auto Messaging. Select_AM.png
  4. Select SFTP credentials. Select_SFTP.png
  5. Click on the credentials you'd like to edit. For this example, I've selected Lunch Balance.              Select_the_AM_for_changes.png
  6. Edit the credential name. SFTP_cred_edits.png
  7. Click Save.                         Click_Save.png

Delete auto message SFTP credentials

  1. Log in to Remind.                                                    Login_to_Remind.png
  2. Click Settings on your dashboard. Click_Settings.png
  3. Choose Auto Messaging. Select_AM.png
  4. Select SFTP credentials. Select_SFTP.png
  5. Click the SFTP credentials you'd like to delete. For this example, I've selected Lunch Balance.                Select_the_AM_for_changes.png
  6. Click Delete at the bottom of the pop-up. Click_delete_SFTP.png
  7. Click Delete to remove the credentials.Click_delete.png
Note: SFTP credentials need to be active and existing in order to activate an auto message. If they have been deleted then an auto message will not send.

Generate new auto message SFTP credentials

  1. Log in to Remind.                                                     Login_to_Remind.png
  2. Click Settings on your dashboard.Click_Settings.png
  3. Choose Auto Messaging. Select_AM.png
  4. Select SFTP credentials. Select_SFTP.png
  5. Click Generate new credentials at the top right. Click_generate_new_at_the_top.png
  6. Enter a Credential Name.                                                                           Enter_cred_name.png                      Be sure to associate the name with the student_number CSV file name being used for your auto message.
  7. Click Generate credentials. Generate_Cred.png
