Translate a message before sending

For all Remind users.

You can translate messages before sending them. Participants will receive the translated message whether they're receiving notifications by text, the app, web, or email.

This article covers how to translate a message via:


Web

  1. Log in to your Remind account.
  2. Click Message (or Urgent Message).mceclip2.png
  3. Select the message recipients and click Continue.mceclip3.png
  4. Compose your message.
  5. Click the globe icon.mceclip0.png
  6. Select a language. mceclip1.png
    • Use the search bar to find a specific language.
    • Use the scroll bar to see all 90+ languages.

The translated message will automatically appear on the message composer. You can then send or schedule your message


App

iOS

  1. Log in to the app.
  2. Select a class.
  3. Choose the type of message you want to send.
  4. Choose the message recipients, and click Next.mceclip0.png
  5. Compose your message.
  6. Select the globe icon.
  7. Choose a language (click More to view additional languages).
  8. Click Done.

The translated message will automatically appear on the message composer. You can then click Send, or schedule your message


Android

  1. Log in to the app.
  2. Select a class.
  3. Choose the type of message you want to send.
  4. Choose the message recipients. 
  5. Compose your message.
  6. Select the globe icon.
  7. Choose a language (click More to view additional languages).

The translated message will automatically appear on the message composer. You can then click Send, or schedule your message

Note

  • The Remind app is available in English, German, French, Spanish, Portuguese (Brazilian), and Simplified Chinese. Learn more about setting your mobile device to one of our supported languages.
  • In your iPhone app, you'll be able to select the globe once you begin typing.
  • The most popular languages on Remind will appear in the menu, but clicking More will give you the option of over 90 other languages. The translated message will instantly appear, and you can send or schedule it as usual.
