For all Remind users.
You can add, remove, or edit your cell phone number and email address and adjust your app and desktop notifications anytime. You can also turn email and push reaction notifications for your messages on or off via your Notification preferences dashboard online.

Keep in mind
Please do not add your phone number to your child's account. This can cause you to merge your parent account with your child's account accidentally and this action is irreversible.
When you download the app, push notifications are turned on, and your text and email Remind messages are automatically disabled - so you do not receive duplicate notifications.
If you add your landline number to your account, it will only be reachable for:
-
Voice calls: With voice calls, you can reach both mobile and landline numbers. Personal phone numbers stay private, and calls are automatically logged.
- Urgent messages: When administrators send urgent messages, they'll reach everyone in your community across all available devices, including landlines.
Please keep your Remind account up-to-date with your most recent contact information, and let your organization know if your phone number and/or email changes. This will ensure you receive your messages and prevent someone else from gaining access to your account.

Set message reaction notification preferences
This is a web-only feature.
The reaction notification preferences you set will adhere to the Contact methods you have for your email and app push notifications. For example, if notifications for your email are on, but your app push notifications are off, you'll only receive reaction notifications via email. The default setting is on.
- Log in to your Remind account on a computer.
- Click your name in the upper left-hand corner.
- Choose Account settings.
- Select Notification preferences from the navigation menu.
- Scroll down to the Notifications preferences section.
- Set your preference toOn if you want to receive an email or push notification each time a person leaves an emoji reaction to a message you sent. Set it to Off if you want to avoid getting notified whenever someone reacts to a message you sent them.
